Why are you smiling?
I cannot stand fake happy faces!
So many people completely oblivious...?!
Have you lost your sight or choose not to see?!!

For many years we tried...
we crossed the line that seemed uncrossable,
we ran a marathon barefoot
covered with open wounds, we dived into salt.
we were like deers among prides of lions...

But we made it!

Or did we....?

Is this what we fought a hundred years for?
Is this why we lost our parents, our siblings, our friends?
Is this what we learnt from the song on the cradle?
Does HONOUR mean anything to you?

We owe it to ourselves...
we owe it to our country...
for the sake of our children...
we owe it to every tombstone that holds the photo of a fallen soldier...

For the tears that never dried
for the years our mothers spent dressing in black
for the promise we made to our ancetors
for the honour passed to us through generations...

Please look around you...is this what you dreamt of?
Has the taste of freedom ever been so bitter?
...sharing a flag with the enemy...??
Is '' independence'' ment to be a paradox?

Shhhhh.....Listen!!!
The voice whispers from the ground and now murmurs all round...
Whers is the rest of my land...?

Ulur mbi Glob Shikoj...
.....ku kemi mbetur
Mbi harten tone , mjeroj,
.....Se na kan' shkelur...

Te braktisur ne udhekryq
......nga situata
i perdhunuar fati jone,
....ngelem shum mbrapa...

Sa shum urrejtje shikoj
se vetem shajre degjoj
i lutem dikujt t'me fale..
vec nje buzeqeshje...

Ne enderr sdua t'jetoj
mos prit qe te kaloje
ngrihu leviz te lutem,
Mos rri ne heshtje

Ne fund te tunelit
eshte gjithmone nje drite
jepi shpejtesi trenit
skemi kohe per t'prite...

Mjaft ngele i varfer, i dashur atdhe
Shqipet krahe-arta, po kthehen n'fole
Buzeqesh dhe ti popull, bashkohu me ne
Erdhen shpetimtaret....GJENERATA RE!!!
